PNMT for Hip, Leg and Foot

  • 360 NeuroMuscular Therapy (map)

James Ivaska returns to teach Precision NeuroMuscular Therapy’s Lower Extremities courses. You can sign up for both days, or take them separately. Saturday is on treatment and evaluation of the hip, and Sunday is lower leg and foot. This class is for massage therapists, physical therapists, acupuncturists, hygienists: anyone interested in learning specific manual therapy techniques and thorough assessment skills.

The vital role of the hip in healthy movement is often overlooked. Issues of the hip greatly effect areas above and below. For instance, restrictions in the hip demand that the low back compensate, leading to low back pain. Treatment of the low back (where the symptoms present) will be frustratingly unsuccessful. In such a vital and complex area as the hip, palpation and treatment must be precise to be effective. In this section of the lower extremity class, our focus is on assessment and treatment of the hip to help you treat the right structure, for the right reason.

Class is 9am to 6pm Saturday and/or Sunday

Join us for the next Precision NeuroMuscular Therapy course offered at 360 NMT. This class is for massage therapists, physical therapists, acupuncturists, hygienists: anyone interested in learning specific manual therapy techniques and thorough assessment skills.

The reality is, neck pain is complex. Releasing the suboccipitals can be wonderful in certain circumstances, disastrous in others. There is no routine that works for all the different iterations of possible neck issues. In PNMT, we don't teach routines, we focus in reasoning and problem solving. That takes time and expert guidance from the instructor. There is NO substitute for hands-on experience and the guidance of a mentor, especially in an area so small and complex as the neck.

Class is 9am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday

Taught by James Ivaska of PNMT Seminars
